COVID-19 Church Update
November 18, 2020
SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM PASTOR ROBERTS
Dear Christ Chapel Family:
As I mentioned in a previous message, we are monitoring the daily trends of COVID-19 in
Prince William County to make our campus worship experience safe and mitigate the
possibility of a COVID-19 exposure in our church facilities.
Sadly, there has been an upward spike in COVID-19 cases in our area that have moved us to
prayerfully assess the risks and determine that it is better to establish a “temporary pause”
to our in-campus worship services for the next few weeks. We are working on alternate
options for praise and worship during the Christmas season and will communicate it to you
within the next few weeks.
In the meantime, our Sunday worship service, Life University, Life Groups, NextGen, Youth,
and Hispanic Ministries will continue to minister through our virtual options. Plans for the
Thanksgiving Outreach and Christmas Giving Tree are in place, and you will be receiving
information on how to engage.
Be alert to our updates through our e-mail, website, text, and social media channels for
upcoming events and activities. I encourage you to please continue to pray for God’s healing,
comfort, and peace for people suffering the effects of this pandemic, healthcare
professionals, and essential workers providing much-needed services.
Also, lift in prayer, Christ Chapel’s dedicated staff that continues to do ministry in our
community. As I mentioned before, we want to follow the Scriptural advice to “Be good
shepherds over the flock God has entrusted to you. Watch over it as God does…” (1 Peter 5:2
GW). You are God’s flock, and as this Word reminds us, we want to watch over you as God
does.
May God’s grace and favor be with you!
Pastor Bill Roberts
